About Fashion Lab:
Conceptualized and incorporated by Liz Ogumbo-Regisford & Morwick Pietersen in 2014, the Fashion Lab Radio show is the first Fashion-Business Radio show to go live on air in Africa through Cliff Central. The Fashion Lab Radio Show was set up to to dissect the business behind fashion in order to to provide a platform where growth and development within the African fashion industry can be promoted and facilitated for sustainability and economic growth in Africa.
The show is focused on the different aspects, elements and dynamics of the fashion industry in Africa and beyond through sharp, unapologetic, robust engagement and forthright debate that epitomise the ethos of the show.
The intrinsic focus for the show includes Fashion Business, Education, culture, demystifying stereotypes and is congruent with a Social Exchange angle specifically on fashion.
The main objective of the Fashion Lab show is to empower the general public, fashion designers, retailers and any other stakeholders to ensure that a positive message is carried across the broadcast platform with tangible outcomes for the audience and the fashion industry.
Liz Ogumbo-Regisford (www.lizogumbo.com) and Morwick Pietersen Co-Host and Co-Produce the Fashion Lab Show.
The Fashion Lab Radio Show airs every Friday on Cliff Central from at 1:00pm–2:00pm.
For the African Fashion Industry to grow, the industry professionals need to connect. The Fashion Lab has been able to achieve that through our weekly radio interviews with key players in the industry, however, our Soirée offered us an opportunity to extend the brand into a physical space which gave us an intimate connection time with leaders in the business of the African fashion industry.
The Fashion Lab Soirée was set up by the ‘Fashion Lab’ hosts to bring together key players within the African Fashion industry such as fashion industry professionals, Fashion Media, influencers, tastemakers and lovers of fashion & style to enjoy an evening of ‘Fashion Conversations’ that will help leverage the African Fashion Rising movement
